About The Role

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer who enjoys engineering quality products for users. The primary focus will be to build and develop the backend infrastructure behind key user facing features.

You will be working with our candid and collaborative team, where your knowledge and advice about application architecture and the newest mobile technologies will be highly valued. You’ll also help ensure solid application performance and an excellent user experience.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable systems to meet the demands of a growing user base

• Migrate an existing monolithic application into independent cohesive services

• Collaborate with frontend engineers (mobile, web) to deliver user facing features

• Own the development cycle of backend features from start to finish

• Deploy and monitor performance of services

Your Profile:

• Familiarity with domain driven design principles

• Experience with asynchronous distributed systems

• A solid understanding of various database types and when to use them

• A good understanding of system design principles

• Clean code that is cohesive, readable and testable

• Familiarity with modern build tools and CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of NodeJS, Typescript and MongoDB is a plus
